Bodega Chat
is a social-first celebrity interview show that marries the absurdity of a conversation in a bodega with sharp, witty with some of the most hilarious, interesting guests, and plenty of food.
Serving as Creative Producer and Assistant Editor
A lot of the development work was in reforming the original iteration of Bodega Chat with Michelladonna. Originally a longform, video interview podcast, Michelladonna wanted to narrow the vision of the project by paying extra attention to each episode.
As Creative Producer, I helped lay out the plan for the series rollout, from digital asset identity to episode structuring. Pinpointing what makes Michelladonna’s conversational style so special, I work with them to expand upon the casual comfort, pairing my carefully crafted, well-researched guest questions with her signature quick wit and charm. We focused on indulging in little moments with big attitude in the big city.
The result is a 10(ish)-minute-long interview series with some of the most interesting up-and-coming talent in New York City and beyond. Each episode is easily distilled down to bite-size stories (like this one), with signature questions like, obviously, What’s Your Bodega Order?

For visuals, I referenced real life bodega signage and Michelladona’s bright and brash personal brand. I created stickers modeled after the distressed, ink-smeared presentation of retail stickers:
